Entertainment Ghost's Friday News Bits! 17-01-2014

It's Friday! And here are the Friday News Bits of this week!

Google Is Developing A Lens Product

Google is currently researching on a new lens product that will help people with diabetes manage their sugar level and blood pressure. Google has stated that since diabetes is becoming a major issue, causing people many health issues such as low blood pressure, damage to the kidneys, heart and eyes, Google is developing a lens product that will read the glucose level in tears, so diabetes patients can know about their sugar level without having to use needles to bring out blood to test it. The prototypes are reported to be capable of generating a reading per a second.

This project isn't a first, though. Microsoft also mentioned a similar lens project that was also designed to help diabetes patients, however, Microsoft hasn't spoke much about it.

I know that you have this question, so- Nope. It wont be able to browse the internet.

The Next Hitman Game Announced

Io-Interactive has posted an open-letter to Hitman fans, stating that the next Hitman game will be released to PC and current-gen consoles. They have stated that the next game will be the "core Hitman fantasy" and it will be created on the Glacier 2 engine. The Contracts Mode is also back and Agent 47's "magic pockets" will be removed. This is the full letter:

Dear Hitman fans,
We wanted to share this open letter with all of you out there eagerly awaiting more news about what’s happening next in the franchise.
At Io-Interactive right now, we are building the next AAA Hitman game for PC and next-gen consoles. It has our total focus and we wanted to take a moment to tell you a few things about it.
In the next game you will experience a globetrotting Agent 47 at the prime of his career – the apex predator stalking his prey across the world, with the support of his long-term handler Diana Burnwood and the whole of the ICA.
The game concentrates on the core Hitman fantasy of using a wide range of tools to take out a diverse group of targets across expansive, exotic locations around the world. We are building this game on the backbone of the Glacier 2 engine, using the best parts and what we have learnt through Hitman: Absolution and drawing inspiration from past titles like Contracts and Blood Money to fulfil the core Hitman fantasy. That means we’re packing in an extreme level of detail on the largest levels we have ever built for a Hitman game. We’ve adopted an open, non-linear level design approach to the game, ensuring the game will play out across huge, checkpoint-free, sandbox levels. Our aim is to create living, breathing and believable levels which will allow gamers to play around with the AI to create those unique moments every fan of the Hitman franchise loves.
Contracts Mode is back – you will be able to create and build challenges by experimenting with the large levels and possibilities within them. And of course, you can share them with the world and challenge your friends or foes to complete your hits. Your rules, your Contracts.
You will also be glad to hear that we have removed 47’s magic pockets. We believe that’s all we need to say about that subject. As we get further into 2014, we will reveal more and get into much closer contact with all of you. There are so many things we have planned and we are extremely excited for the future of Hitman.
Thank you all for your dedication. We will share much, much more in the coming months.

Grand Theft Auto V's PC Version Info Leaked

According to PC Gamer, a document leaked via an XML file contains a 150-page bug log detailing issues from hundreds of GTAV builds which were tested between April 2009 and August 2013, with a reference to a PC version from as early as June 2012. The document contains upto 170 references to PC development bugs and numerous notes on DX11 support and several other bugs which include a 64-bit system testing. The list which was hosted on a public Google Drive server now displays a 404 Page Not Found error, which possibly means Rockstar took it down.

You can see a picture from the log above.

Nintendo's CEO Says He's Not Resigning Over Poor Sales and Wii U/3DS Sales Figures Are Lowered

Nintendo has officially revised the sales figures of the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. The Nintendo WiiU, which had the original sales expectation of 9 million, is now lowered down to an expectation of 2.8 million, while the Nintendo 3DS which was originally expected to sell 18 million, is now lowered to 13.5 million.

A report by Nikkei that was translated by NeoGAF states that the CEO Satoru Iwata was quoted at the press conference "saying that he feels responsibility for the poor business performance" at Nintendo and that he is "sorry to all shareholders". He says the most important thing is to "revigorate Nintendo's business as quickly as possible." and that he will not resign but stay in the office to "carry that through".

The Google Music Timeline

Google has launched a new service called "Music Timeline", as part of their research projects. The timeline starts in 1950, and has no classical music. It basically uses the data from the people who upload songs to Google Play Music and it "shows genres of music waxing and waning, based on how many Google Play Music users have an artist or album in their music library, and other data (such as album release dates). Each stripe on the graph represents a genre; the thickness of the stripe tells you roughly the popularity of music released in a given year in that genre".

Yeezianity, The Kanye West Worshipping Religion

Apparently, a website has appeared created by an "anonymous group" that claims that "the one who calls himself Yeezus is the highest living human being and he will help to usher in a New Age of humanity". The website has a drawing of Kanye West as their savior which you can see above on the left side, while the website that claims to be "THE BEST CHURCH OF ALL TIME!!!!!" can be seen at the right side. The followers are calling themselves "Ye’ciples". Their membership is "entirely anonymous and non-exclusive" and they apparently allow a Ye’ciple to be a member of two religious groups at the same time, calling Christianity, Buddhism, Islam and Taosim the "best ones".

They claim that when "the conditions are ripe", all of their members will reveal their identities and their "divine forms and the Creative Age will finally begin!".

Now, whether the followers are serious individuals, or extremely hilarious trolls, is yet to be known. I'm certainly hoping it's the latter.
