A hacking team under the name "Syrian Electronic Army" has breached the security of Microsoft's Skype service's official Blog(picture above), Twitter and Facebook accounts.
The Syrian Electronic Army started by hacking the Skype Blog and posted "Hacked by Syrian Electronic Army... Stop Spying!"(picture above). They later went on to make another post which read:

They also hacked the official Skype Facebook page, posting:
Don't use Microsoft emails (hotmail, outlook), They are monitoring your accounts and selling it to the governments. More details soon. #SEA
They also hacked Skype's official twitter account, tweeting for Skype to "Stop Spying!". Skype got the twitter account back, but about 2 hours later SEA striked back and tweeted from the account AND retweeted a tweet from SEA's own twitter:

The Facebook and Twitter accounts of Skype are now back in control and safe. However, the Skype Blog is down now. Whether it was shut down by Syrian Electronic Army, or if Skype got it back and shut it down for maintanence, is unknown. But since the SEA wouldn't put the Blog down and hide it's own message, we take it is done by Microsoft.
In order to hack Skype, they've hacked Facebook, Twitter and Wordpress in the process, which are all highly secure networks. According to BBC News, the Syrian Electronic Army has been behind "recent hack attacks" on the New York Times as well, and it has targeted "various other media companies" which include BBC itself, CNN and the Guardian.
