Free PC Gaming Bits: Retro Time

New and awesome video games are always fun. But sometimes, don't you just want to play something for free? Or just want to play that old video game with loads of memories. This post will discuss about 3 awesome retro/old games that still live and we enjoy to this date.

1. Streets of Rage Remake
What would be a better way to start off than Streets of Rage Remake? The awesome remake for Sega's legendary Beat 'Em Up "Streets of Rage". The game was made from scratch, and features content from all the SoR games, yes even SoR 1. The game is a perfect remake of all the games and is extremely enjoyable. The game contains several new features, unlockable characters, cheats and a great editor called ''SoR Maker'', all of that is bought through the all-new shop, which unlocks after beating the game once and the money to buy things is also earned by beating the game again and again, giving you a reason for reply. Plus, the game's different start-routes and the in-game routes make the game one awesome experience you wont regret! The game took about 8 years to complete, with Version 5.0 being the final and complete release! The game is completely free and brings back lots of memories!

The game cannot be downloaded from the official website anymore, due to Sega of Europe's actions, but you can still download it from several other trusted websites!

2. Tekken 3 Online
The legendary 1997's fighting game, Tekken 3 was turned into online adventure a while back. The Online version is based on the PlayStation version of Tekken 3, featuring all the console special characters and game modes such as Tekken Ball, Team Battle and so on. The game has no sound, but the frame rates are good, along with the characters having modified outfits, which is a nice touch to the game. The game lives true to the original version, and the online is as smooth as an official online game, though bad internet connections may suffer from lag as we know it. Over all, it is a very good addition to the retro PC gaming, keeping the legendary Tekken 3 alive!

3. Halo: Combat Evolved Trial
The awesome video game that started it all, Halo: Combat Evolved, had an awesome multiplayer that we all remember, and some still play. But there was a demo released for the PC version, often known as the Halo Trial. The trial has some of the campaign and an awesome multiplayer mode, where anyone can host a server between with the default Blood Gulch map and 2 game types, Slayer and CTF(Capture The Flag). What makes the Halo Trial worth a mention, is that the multiplayer is still up, and many people still play it. Who wouldn't wanna play some multiplayer of Halo for free? But the best part is that, there are countless mods for the Halo Trial around! You can mod your maps, weapons and anything you could think of and have an awesome time playing with your friends!
