Steam's Big Picture

The popular game platform, Steam has come out with ''Big Picture'', also known as Steam TV by some. Steam's Big Picture is currently in beta mode, it will allow people to connect their PC or Mac devices with their televisions, which will allow them to enjoy gaming, surfing around the web and chat with other players through Steam. Valve reformatted the Steam client for televisions, and have created a new web browser as well. The beta is currently available for PC only, the Mac version is told to be coming out ''soon''. With Steam's Big Picture, you can play over 2000 games and all the new titles. Wherever you can run Steam, you can run Big Picture. One of the features of Big Picture is that the whole thing is designed with controllers in mind, so you can enjoy everything, even the browser and typing right with your controller, using the DaisyWheel for typing.

"PC gaming continues to be the leading edge of entertainment, whether it's social gaming, MMOs, graphics hardware, free-to-play, or competitive gaming,'' Gabe Newell, the president of Valve has stated. ''With Big Picture for Steam, we are trying to do our part to give customers and developers what they want -- their games, everywhere, optimized for the environment in which they are playing.''

Steam's DaisyWheel, the feature that allows you to type with your controller in the Big Picture web browser.

You can tune into Big Picture right now through your PC, on a television, or even right on your PC with the beta, clicking a new picture called ''Big Picture Mode''. There's a lot more to come about Steam's Big Picture. Why are you still here? Go and tune into the Big Picture Mode right now!
